Olwam Mnqwazi is an author, the Managing Director and Founder of the Black Hat Group as well as Fruits of Democracy (NPO). Olwam holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours (Development Studies) and a Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Psychology and Public Administration) from Nelson Mandela University (NMU). In September 2022, Olwam joined the Faculty of Education at NMU to assist in the curriculum alignment of the Technical Vocation Education and Training (TVET), a unit called Online Education supported by HEPSA. He also previously worked for the Office of the Dean of Humanities, and at the Centre for Integrated Post-School Education & Training (CIPSET) at Nelson Mandela University. His skills include Project Management, Leadership Development, CourseTune and Coaching.

She holds a BA Honours Degree from Nelson Mandela University as well as a BCom General degree majoring in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town. Mazwai also works as a Community Organiser for the Hub of Convergence (HoC) based at Nelson Mandela University
